    Switch above ignition...

I found this switch on my car, and have no idea what it was used for... there were no fog lamps, rear wiper, etc fitted to the car

The switch looks aftermarket too, so any ideas or information would be great!

    Cheers

    Stephen

BTW: the shiny key tag was the POs, not mine and I didn't get round to changing it yet!!!

What year is the car. Do you have a webasto heater. Looks more like a PO self wiring though.

Follow the wires from the switch and see where they go. People can put switches in for all kinds of reasons.

That's the flux capacitor override switch. Don't touch it or 1.2 gigawatts could be applied to the generator! Ha! Aftermarket switch installed by a PO. Nonstandard. Could be used to actuate anything from fog lights to alarm. If the wires still there see if you can trace them. Otherwise remove it and patch the hole.
