    Here's the results of that race.......

    Thanks to David Friedman's 'Trans-Am The Pony Car Wars 1966-1972'

    I found that the #73 Fred Opert Racing 911 was driven by Fred Opert and Grimaldi and the car was disqualified from the race......

    The entrants were a who's who of American Road Racers from the late 60's . Even if you multiply the purse by 10 no one was getting wealthy running Trans AM. That track was a gritty little sand trap that ran up the side of a hill.Truly another time and place.
