1970 2.2 euro E

I recently picked up a 1970 2.2E Euro
Out of Germany to Italy to begin its life, I found this in a storage locker in VA. Anyway it is not complete, I know I need some engine parts, what I need to know is what was the difference between the Euro and American additions? I am far from an expert on the engine but the rest I know a little about
Vin 9110210706 and the engine # 6201855. 911/01 suppose to be matching numbers but it was also suppose to be a complete car, that I can deal with as I go along I just need some detail on the differences.

no difference at all in the engine - only thing is some bolt on fuel vapor capture bits

You will be fine on the mechanicals, but some of the trim will be different like the turn signal lenses. Really not a biggie at all. Enjoy. I restored a 71 from the ground up. Bigget thing to do is find your oil leaks, See how much play there is in your steering rack, and Check Measure and Adjust your MFI system. Once in tune, these are great cars.

I have a 70 Euro also. I imported it to the US. Gauges have different wording on the faces- Druck for pressure as an example and switches are not marked as on US cars. Master cylinder is different, but was probably replaced anyway to import. You may not have a working brake warning light as that was not checked on import. Windshield (not glued in on the Euro) and headlights (H1s not sealed beams) were different, and different color tail light lenses (yelow vs red). Perhaps some emission changes, but I have never noticed the difference. Otherwise I don't know of much difference. Oh, the Euro models are much faster and more desirable
