where are the vintage 911/914 racers hanging out?? Looking for more info!

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have been searching the web looking for forums/organizations
to help educate me. I have found the typical stuff but nothing in depth. Trying to find parts/cars as well as car set up information. Would also like to learn more about the rules etc. It would be great to have a sub forum here as I am sure many of you are well versed in this

    Cheers

I second that motion. A racing forum would be great.

    John,

I can only speak for myself.
To play off of Rene Descartes' famous quote: I race; therefore I am. Vintage racing is my biz, my hobby, and my passion.

While I don't mind helping newbies out, a forum dedicated to talking about it sounds boring. I have no desire getting into "differences of opinion" with guys who have never campaigned a serious racecar in their lives.
If you need some advice email me. I'll be happy to help you out.

    Frank

Try going on some of the forums from the different historic racing organizations and ask from there. I'm not a historic Porsche 911 racer but I've found the same thing with the Triumph forums, not that many racers hanging out on the Triumph forums either. You have to dig elsewhere a bit. Are you the guy that bought the historic 911 race car in Toronto? Try the VARAC forum as a starter if so. There are a number of guys in the VARAC G70 class running historic 911's.

Yes I will be attending the G70 race at Mosport in early Sept. Hoping it will be a good turn out.
I think I need to be patient. Once I get a few more races under my belt with different organizations I should have a better understanding.

G70 turn outs can be up and down a bit from what I've observed. Always get a huge G70 field at the VARAC vintage festival at Mosport in June.
