73 S engine mount washers - color/finish and installation orientation?

I have seen this large 'dish' shaped washers finished in black or yellow zinc, and installed in two manners - some with the 'dish' up, and some with the 'dish' down against the rubber engine (or trans) mounts. PET seems to show 'dish' up?? I'd like to know what was original and correct for my application. Thanks!

AFAIK, Dish up is correct. That said, dish down makes the mounts more solid--common autocross/track trick. My 73 has/had yellow zinc.

Thank you both...very helpful. I've seen 'black' washers installed on what have reportedly been original/untouched cars hence my original question about color.
