Beige basket weave material, where to buy?

    Hi,

I'm planning to have some sport seats done for my '67 as the original seats aren't that supportive,
but I'm struggling to find the right material.
The car has a light beige/cream vinyl interior and I'd like to have the seats done with basket weave inserts.

Does anyone have an idea where to get nice basket weave material in the right colour?

    Best regards, Andreas

Had the same dilemma with my '68 912. Went crazy trying to find the basketweave. Finally decided on D'ser seats from Italy. They could not do them in vinyl, but were able to roll leather to match. They did the seats and provided me with enough extra material to have Tony at Autobahn make me two nice '68 only door panels. Car is in shop where I can't get at it. Otherwise would provide pictures. Interior is a thing of beauty with the leather and with Crawford wood dash. Will post pictures as soon as I spring my car.

I tried it, they haven't got anything like it.
However there's a Mercedes Benz material that looks similiar, I've ordered a sample and will see how it matches.

I'd really like to see pictures, D'eser is on my list as shipping to Germany is easier than with Vintageseats or GTS.
How's the structure of the embossed leather? Does it match the original pattern?

Car is in the shop where I can't get to it. Can't take pictures right now. However if you look on the Autobahn site you can find a picture of the door cards that Tony did for me. Appearance looks the same as the original. I doubt that D'eser would reupholster seats. He is in the business of making seats. Just did me a favor when making seats to do extra so that I could reupholster the rest of the car for an exact match. Perhaps he would tell you where his source for the leather comes from
