    Fasten Seat Belt light - why 4 connections?

    My '73 has 4 wires going to what I thought would be a simple light bulb. Does anyone know why it has 4 wires? I know the schematic shows at least 2 active devices (diode and transistor) in it. I just don't understand why...

    (Event Data Recorder linked to NSA, maybe?)

    Besides the dash indicator light it also has a buzzer..........
