    August '14 1st Saturday EASY get-together

A slightly late and abbreviated report on yesterdays' meeting in Emeryville. As has been the custom for most of this year, turn-out was outstanding, with cars showing up that had not attended before ( both the red 914 with a 3.6 liter motor, and the even more adventurous white car with a 20-valve water-cooled in-line Audi motor - and God only knows what else- installed in it ). Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to chat with either owner & pick their brains, but be assured that if they return there will be more information on these hot rods.

A beautiful disc-brake equipped 356 C ( T-6 ) in flawless black, a well patinaed 356 survivor, and Richard Sutliff's newly completed white hot-rod complete today's limited offering of photos. Richard's car will have its ride-height adjusted and final suspension-tuning done in the near future, and after Monterey I will send a detailed article with photos on this beautifully detailed effort to John Dilger for a future issue of the ESSES.

Sorry for the limited coverage this time around, but due to a blessed cooling trend after a ten day sweltering heat wave which will allow me to finish Ruprecht for Werks Reunuion in a little more comfort, I am going out to the garage.

Thanks for looking,…………..Pre-Historics next Saturday with an interim report, then please look for my annual Monterey coverage after the 17th.
