    71 door hinge bolts

I am beginning a restoration on a 71 T and the six bolts that attach the door appear to be a multi point wrench, like a ten point star or something to that effect. Can someone tell me what this is and where to get the wrench?

Those are called XZN bolts, basically they are triple square, 12 points. You will need to find an XZN socket set or a socket to fit a M8 XZN bolt.

Those are hard to find if you mess one up, so a high quality bit is a good investment. Dont strip out the head. =)

Mine have been replaced with ordinary bolts, does anyone supply them new or is second hand the only way to replace them?

Somewhere around 72 I believe a switch was made to hex head bolts, but it is easy to determine which one you need. If the hinge has a countersunk bolt hole then its the 12 point XZN, if the bolt is not counter bored then it's the normal hex hd. bolt.

The bolts are readily available. At least my body shop has them.
They are a fraction wider on the head, but you can only tell if you place an old one next to a new one.
