    Transmission carrier bushings?

How does one change the bushings in the carrier shown? There are many comments regarding bushings that are bolted in, but these are pressed, somehow. Name: Transmission carrier.jpg

Wevo, and superpro do a two piece bush that fits the 901 trans carrier.

I can't comment on the Wevo, as I fitted Superpro, and am very happy, smooth shifting and no vibrations.

I only fitted the Superpro, as they were available locally.

    Thanks, Tony

How does one go about getting the old bushings out?

    I just pressed mine out.

Without a press, you could drill around the center metal tube, and place some relief cuts in the rubber to cut them out.

Whilst out get it powder coated, as the get fairly beat up.

Thanks, Tony, for the recommendations. I do have a press and will attack the project. I love powder coating.

Your press will make short work of them.....

I dont think any new ones are available to press back in. I sent mine to wevo for conversion. Correction, I sent a SPARE front mount in for conversion so no down time(downtime leads to depression). I got the black rubbers and they seem to transmit a little more vibration but sure shift nice!

Other than the Wevo, the others are a two piece option. (rebel, Wevo, superpro ect) no need to press fit.

Very happy with my SuperPro bushes. Results in better shifting and no vibrations, compared to the collapsed origional rubber ones that where there.
