    911 US Carrera 1974 175 bhp

    Dear all,

I'm wondering if the the US-Carrera 1974 175 bhp is an interesting car in the States. Only a few of them are offered here in Germany and the price is quite okay. The price for a 2.7 Carrera with the 210 bhp (MFI-System) is not compareable.

I know the difference between both cars. Some people say the US-Carrera is only a better version of the 911 S.

The 2.7 with MFi is a really wanted engine but an original US-Carrera 1974 is also a rare car.

Please let me know what you guys in the US think about a 911 that was supposed for the US-market.

    Cheers..........Oliver

I don't really consider them very special.

The first few hundred (out of 528 coupes) had the RS torsion tube reinforcement...I think that's cool.

Also...the first 50 or so had RS flares.

Also...a factory duck tail car, which counts for something.

    Hi Aaron,

I think so too, it is something special. I have an offer a red Carrera with duck tail (original delivery 06/74).
The car is in quite good condition and the price is also okay (price level here in Germany).

    Cheers.......Oliver

I have a '74 and a '75. Both good cars. They've nearly doubled in value here in the last year or so.

Is currently an interesting offer available in the US? I prefer a car with original duck tail and of course matching numbers.

Recently bought a very nice original 74 example...awesome car!
The more I learn about it and drive it, the more I like it.

Shortly after purchase, I see this one sell at the Branson Auction....Wowza!....6 figure cars now?....$89,600 + 10%

That is exactly the price level in Germany. Prices are between 60 and 70.000 (good, original cars).
