how to polish the plastic lights?

I have nice crackless rearlights and front indicators and feel they deserve to be scratchless and polished.
Any tips and tricks to do this without wrecking them and leaving the surface tranished forever?

Which gel and equipment to use, are ther several steps to take account of?

Just use 3M scratch remover available at most auto Parts stores. Just use a smooth towel and hand rub the lenses, for deeper scratches first use 400, then 1000, then 1500 grit sand paper followed by the 3m scratch remover.

This stuff is the s**t. Designed for paint but I use it on almost everything including lenses.

How to apply that? I guess it comes in powderform and needs to be diluted to a paste? Then rub onto the surface until it dries?

Simichrome if the toothpaste does not work. You can dilute it or go full strength. It works wonders on plastic.
