    Repro rectangular chrome mirror LH

    Anyone have a reproduction rectangular chrome door mirror, driver's side? They're on back order at Pelican. Used is fine, as long as it looks OK.

    I was looking for a 73 style, but if the 74 looks basically the same, it might work. What is your asking price?

    Be aware, the 'first generation' Chinese knock off '72/73 mirrors were made of thin metal, too shiny, "puffy" in profile and the crimping around the glass was awful. Later repros are very very good. I've seen them at TRE.

    The 74 mirrors are larger than the 73, basic design is the same but size difference is obvious. I have some used 73 mirrors as well but those are fairly spendy. I'll dig them out and let you know what I have.

    We have a local guy asking $1000 for a used 72/73 mirror.

    But the better repro (sold by Porsche Classic) is $150 (TRE).
