The email of a life time ......

Today i got one of those emails that just makes your day / week / year !!!!
For those who don't no i own a tag turbo engine block tt po 1-44 from the porsche /mclaren F1 cars of the 80's . Trying to get history on it has been a massive task over the last year as nz porsche / mclaren nz / mclaren UK etc... wanted to say nothing !!!
I luckily have contacts at Porsche classic and today the email was just what you want to see .
    "Dear Mr. Gausden,
your request was forwarded to me, I care here at Porsche for the picture archive and the racing files. I looked for your TAG engine 1-44 and was surprised myself that this engine really has a history. I copied the relevant files from the binder which has these files. Hope to give you a pleasure with it. "

Well done John. And to think, I could have put that in the Graywolf!

Pic from maybe 15 years ago when I bought that block:

John, I'd love to know your contact at Porsche Classic. I've got TTE PO 1-31. Someone told me it was the Monaco winner with Prost in the rain shortned race where Senna finished second in the Toleman. I'd love to be able to confirm.
