    Targa top release handles

I need a pair of targa top release handles for a 67. I think they are the same all the way in to the 80's.

    rick,

please forgive me. i do not consider myself an authority on this, but i don't think the SWB targa handles (67-68) are the same as later ones. according to my research for my '68, the later handles are pebbled-finish and have smooth curves. the SWB ones, i think, have a flat front, with parallel lines on the face. plus, i believe there are different lengths.

plus, when you are shopping, there might be differences between 911/912 and 914 handles.

i'm sure that someone else will opine, and maybe they can enlighten the community.

    thank you.

Thanks for the come back folks. I am not a Targa guy, so I wasn't sure.
    Frank, got anything for me?

An idol has been removed from its pedestal.

    SWB are all alone.

Like hens teeth. But without cornmeal on them.

Hey, I don't want to point any fingers, but there is some misinformation in this thread. Post # 6 is spot on, though.

    Ciao

    Probably directed at me.

Always willing to learn. Personally I've only seen the flat, "grooved" handles on perforated headliner cars. Which would include '69 SWT as well.

How about pics of original cars or an authoritative thread to refer to?

    Looks like I'm wrong.
    I stand corrected.
