You should put the TYPE in your heading as well, in my opinion, as its not an RS wheel, just the same size

Excellent comment. The misinformation about these wheels is beyond belief.

    Per Jim Breazeale -

    Part numbers on 914 wheels

914 347 805 10................... Leather covered, rubber rimmed steering wheel 70/71 914/4 and 914/6 and (apparently) 73 Carrera RSs. (The best choice for 911s) These are the ones
that are flat on the front.
914 347 803 10................... Plastic rimmed 70/71 914/4 steering wheel (You can cover these in leather and they work just fine. Double wrap them and they are even better)
914 347 805 11....................Leather covered 72 914/4 steering wheel (with 90 degree counter sink) Not the best choice but they do work better than the later 914/4 wheels with the
    beveled counter sink.
    914 347 804 11....................Plastic rimmed late 914/4 wheel
914 347 809 00....................74 and later 914/4 "simulated leather" wheels. These things are junk!

Interesting information!! I think I would relist this over on 914world it is a great original wheel for '74-'76 914's.

The foam Sim Leath wheels are a nice basis for wrapping with a singly layer of real leather. Really makes for a nice sport feel.

All of the information Jim posted has been on 914 world for years.

As this is truly a 914 wheel, I will move to Other Porsche Parts...
