    Early Factory Roll Bar ID?

How can you ID if a roll bar is genuine period correct or possibly a factory piece?

It sure looks like a factory piece. If you can determine the age, that would be helpful. I dont know if there were replicas before Robert Gross and TRE did theirs in the last decade.

So here are detailed photos of the roll bar I have. I am sure this is a factory piece as it was installed in an RS that was acquired by the family I acquired it from. They bought the RS in the late 70's and raced it at the Chicago Historics through the 80's and sold the car about 1988 or 1989. Bars are 39mm in diameter and approximately 3.5mm in thickness. Just curious what the period parts gurus here have to say.

Been in storage since removal from the RS. Painted red to match his 72 that he had planned on installing it in. Car is long gone.

Last few detail shots. I wonder what the holes in the top hoop and cross brace are for. Factory punched.
