It was a decent shaker that went on for a while. Reminded me of 1989 in that regard, though nowhere near as long or strong. Woke us up out here in northern San Rafael, but no damage at all. I understand 2-3 people in Sonoma and Napa had serious injuries, with another 75-80 injured but no fatalities reported. Downtown Napa buildings had some serious damage, as did wineries. Could have been a lot worse, and hope no members here sustained losses.

Building codes are a very good thing. Now, if we could just rid ourselves of 24-hour news...we've been getting calls from family back east non-stop.

There are a couple of members in Napa, and we certainly hope they came through okay.
