    1987 911 Paint Color?

    Anyone know of a color chart for an 87 911? Paint code is not on the door jamb like our older models. Any idea where the paint code is located on an 87? It appears the sticker on hood underside is missing. This car is a dark brown metallic. Thinking nouget or cognac brown.

    Look for a paint code sticker inside the trunk, right side inner fender near the front, behind the headlight.

    From the VIN, any Porsche dealer can tell you the color code in minutes, plus the engine number, the equipment and so on.

    In 1987 two special browns were available, Nougat Brown Metallic and Espresso Brown Metallic. Per Red Book.
