FS: '68.5-'69 3 Bar Engine Lid Grill

For sale ' 68.5-' 69 3 bar engine lid grill. These are hard to find in excellent condition and this one is as nice as I have seen. It is straight as an arrow with no bends in the bars with perfect curvature to fit the engine lid. It has a few small nicks and marks but overall about as nice as they come for a 45 year old part. Price is $525 plus shipping. Thanks for looking !

Is that the original way these were finished? Only black on the screen?

No, the vertical pieces should all be black. Easily fixed with paint

I've seen them both ways. I don't believe this one has been altered in any way.

I was just curious because I have one with the 3 vertical bars in black. Thanks!

I've seen both too and have a theory that the unpainted came from the 68 cars and the black verticals came from the 69 cars... But honestly who knows!? What I'm most impressed with on the example from Prez is how straight those bars are - really hard to find them so nice.

I guess if credit goes to where credit is due I'll gladly take it for those straight bars as this looks like the grill I sold to prez a few months ago and was the result of many hours of patient straightening. Maybe I should start providing this as a service!
