Does anyone know this car? Is it really as good as it looks?

    Thanks,

Big plus having the matching #s motor and original paint color. More race car than street car...Not sure how this all translates into a value...but appears top be a well done car.

Is/was on The Samba too at 132.5k.
Somehow most of these beautiful hot rods are not selling at their asking prices. I'd jump at one of them if I had the money.

A car like this is really tricky to value. It's really not a race car with provenance. On the other hand it's not another tribute car. (Speaking of dogs in the marketplace.)

He seems to have gotten good money for it though. I do think he might have gotten more had he restored the car. Also, he used a lot of modern parts building the car. I'm partial to period modifications.

Didn't sell. That's where the bidding ended.

Correct. Should've remembered that. Probably a good indicator of value, though.
