Going back to the original Fuch rims 5.5" x 14" currently have 7" x 15" on it with 225/50/15. If I go with 195/70/14 will I make up the height difference from 15" to 14" rims?

I have been very pleased with the road holding of these tires on my 14" stock Fuchs. I run 195x60 R14. They sit fairly low, no rubbing, Koni suspension from that era. Here's pics while the car is up on even rolling plates and on the road.

Thanks for the reply, I found this earlier post on the registry:
I'm also trying to decide on 14" tire. Here's what I found:
Original tire from what I could find out (approx):
Sidewall height (SH) - 5.8"
Total height (T) - 25.6
Width (W) - 7.3
195-75-14
SH - 5.75
T - 25.5
W - 7.7
185-70-14
SH -5.1
T - 24.2
W - 7.3
195-70-14
SH - 5.4
T - 24.7
W - 7.7
Speedometer will be off further away you get from 25.6 dimension. I ran a set of 185-14 Yoko on 71 T. Looked right on car and rode well. I'm considering Dunlop SP20 FE 185-70 for 914-6 and wondering if anyone has experience.

195/70-14 should be very similar in height to the 225/50-15.
