    911/01 transmission question

1970 911/01 transmission, I am ready to put back together however I have observed the following.
I wanted to know if the input shaft bearing in the case should spin and how to measure the runout,.
In other trans cases I have, that same bearing appears to be fixed and zero play

here's a short 27 second video explaining my quest

appreciate any and all input thanks

you can see it spins freely with no play, feels very tight, not sloppy but with a back and forth motion there is a slight play (front to back) gliding on the race.

That's the outer bearing race and no it shouldn't move at all. I have seen it on quite a few mag case 911/915 transmissions but it was never the reason for the transmission to be disassembled.
