    Rear quarter window outer seal install ('67)

    Okay, I surrender…..for now.
    How in heck does this seal go in? I can see the outermost part has a slight bead on the rubber to secure it in the window frame channel. Does the inner portion go on the inside too? Or does it just lay over the chrome? Having a rough go. What's the secret? Thanks

    The inner overlaps the chrome trim. The tough part is getting the forward vertical into the channel, start in the middle and work out to the ends, once you get it started it goes in quickly. If you don't get it in all the way the edge will catch on the door during opening.

    This rubber was difficult for me as well...

    Lots of hot soapy water. Pre heat the gaskt in the sun. Go to a beautition supply house and buy some 'cuticle pushers". Have you done the vent wings yet? They are a whole new chapter in early window seals. Skeeters

    Windex is a great help when doing this job,
    it makes the rubber slide easier, but you can still grip it,
    it dries and leaves no residue.
