Any chance of making the elusive 1972 only oil tank or is there too small of a market?

I think somebody is already doing the 72 tanks. I have seen them an EBay. But I do not think that they are copper plated. Its a shame to go to all the trouble and skip the one step. Iam sure that Marek can better explain.

    Hi Bill & breaker

Correct I did the 72" oil tanks, and correct they are not copper plated , due to low production and tooling cost, there was not room enough to keep a fair retail price
the copper plating is expensive as hell, and is more complicated to work with
for the 65-71 there is a much bigger crowd, so the budget allows it
but if there is a market for the 72 copper plated, I will do a small bash

more details on the 72" here, and they are on stock at Restoration Design

In fact I have done all oiltanks for each year, we got the 73" ready, also a one year only , the 74 and onwards, the turbo version , and the 2,8 rsr
more info to follow on the 73, 74+ tanks

I thought there was a difference between the SWB and LWB tanks? My 68's tank will not fit in my 69 car... there is a "curve" to the leading edge on the 68.
