    3.1l

    Hi guys,

Sorry if I'm in the wrong place, but as I'm a classic lover (356 BT5 - 911 2.0S - 993 Targa), I need a question answered. I have the opportunity to buy an interesting porsche, not a pre 1972 porsche, but a 3.1L Lightweight. I know my porsches, but personally I never heard of this before, that's why it caught my attention.
Tried googling it but very little info to be found on this model.

Anybody has more info about it, how rare they are, are they sought after, what's the value? Thanks for all the help, very intrigued by the car and thinking of a full restoration (car is in bad shape).

    Thx

Pretty interesting, engine was rated at 210 HP if I remember correctly. I have recently seen a factory paper (in German) with some specs and indications on the fuel required. I probably will be able to post this paper in late august earliest.

I keep a registry of 1972 and 1973 2.4 S coupé chassis. Infos always welcome!!!

I know of a car that may still be for sale, and has been sitting for a while.
Seems to be a 1979 & 1980 special. I'd love to know more about the one you have located.

The only 3.1 I know of is the early pre 81SC which had the option of a boosted performance package taking the motor to 3.1. As detailed in the Pelican threads above. Please post the motor numbers.

A guy on Pelican called dporsche74 has a 3.1 for sale. It's a tub which needs major work, but it is the real thing and is F/S.
Search his threads you will see the info. I think he posts here too, and recently was offering a US 3.0 C3 Targa

Hi guys, here are the pictures and numbers. Car is in Belgium in a friend's garage for now. Any info appreciated. Looks like a genuine 3.1. Interesting purchase I suppose. Stil wonder what this would be worth completely restored and original.
