Wheel Cleaners: P21S vs Sonax vs Griots Garage

I need to really clean my 6s and was looking for your experiences with the above 3 cleaners. My wheels are factory finish. If you've tried all three, which were you most satisfied with?

Not what you want to hear, but mild mild soap, warm water, and elbow grease

    Ditto

    Simple Green + used-up kitchen sponge . . . + careful pressure . . . + I'm on my hands + knees

Takes about 2 minutes per + I don't have to worry about my wheels, my skin (or chromosomes!) . . .

. . . or any streams, rivers, or oceans

    I do it about every --- oh . . . . . . . year or so!

Got other stuff to deal with

I just use the same car shampoo as for the rest of the car, with a microfibre glove. Dry them and apply some car wax or vaseline and then wipe off excess.

I have used Eagle I "All Wheel" for years on original and Harvey's wheels......"All Wheel" NOT "Aluminum Wheel".....it's much cheaper, readily available, really good on old brake dust on the inside of the rims.

Use Sonax if wheels are super dirty (very rarely do I see that much brake dust on my early car but I dont drive that aggressively). For maintenance cleaning duties P21S gel makes more sense. Sonax is great for modern wheels with complex spoke pattern as it just lifts all the caked grime. Overkill for our cars I feel. I coat my wheels with Nanoskin if I have time but I havent lately. Sonax does have a rotten egg smell by the way. To some the smell could be as offensive as that stuff you see on Rick's car

The basic rule is to use the least aggressive cleaner. That's why a lot of us stick to soap and water. Another option is this:

This is a slightly different formula and it doesn't do bad things to aluminum. I use it on my bikes all the time. Also on my engine compartment. I've never needed it on my wheels
