EARLY 911S REGISTRY Coffee and donutfest Sat Sept 6

Tomorrow is our monthly get together starting around 9AM. We have seen a continually increasing attendance and that is great. We have, apparently drawn the ire of one very vocal neighbor, though. I am asking all those in attendance to please not double park on Harlan St. I will try and have the parking lot next door (on the South side of us) open and available and there is plenty of parking on Park St. Looking forward to seeing lots of old friends and new ones, as well.

    Regards

    Jim

I suggest inviting the neighbor and giving them their own special box of donuts! We can all schmooz with your neighbor and win him/her over...

    Better you than me.
I don't think anything I say or do at this time will make much difference. This isn't the first time we have had a difference of opinion. I flat don't like this person and I'm sure the feeling is mutual. There are about 100 people living in the building across the street and there is only one person, that I know of, that thinks our get together is a nuisance. It only takes one, though.

    Hope to see you tomorrow

    Regards

    Jim

A big Thank You to all of you that showed up today. We had a great turnout. No double parking and everyone seemed to have a good time. I know I did. I'm out of town until Monday and won't be able to post any pictures until then. If anybody has pictures, please post away!

    Regards

Here a few pictures. It was a bit overcast most of the morning but still a nice day. I thought it would be OK to show some of the party crashers and that we do have other options besides donuts, thanks to John Eiskamp.

Jim, is that Bill Shoreman's old Irish Green C coupe in the photo above? Bill did the PPI on my old 67S and I remember seeing that car in his shop. It had the best panel gaps of any 356 I had seen.

    Hey Bill

No, the 356 is a brand new restoration owned by a good friend, Lance Varellas. He purchased the car from me. It was the first time that it had returned to Harlan St. Most of the retoration work was performed by another good friend of mine, Dave W. You have to love Irish Green! I have lost touch with Bill Shorman's Irish Green 356C. I hope it is providing it's current owner with as much pleasure as it provided for Bill, though.

    Regards

    Jim
