    Hi Bob, it's my understanding that you have to bake the parts after plating to reduce or eliminate embrittlement. I think that is what went wrong with those huge bolts on the bay bridge.

    Good point, maybe that wisdom wasn't available back in the early 70's when I had my parts done.
