Standard seats reclining by one click when driving

I just put my standard seats into the Blue car today and was surprised in more ways than one.

Anyone experienced standard seats reclining by one click as your driving along.... And found a solution. I haven't investigated the mechanism but I suspect it's a warn tooth on the ratchet ?? Are parts still available ?

Ideas would be appreciated before I go pulling things apart. RC do I recall you having a similar problem?

    We had the same problem!
I removed them off the seat and cleaned them out with break clean then lubed them with White Lithium grease! Work Great!

Take a close look at the gear teeth (Which you can do without disassembly). If they're in good shape cleaning and lubing will probably do it.

If the teeth are stripped your seat is probably the victim of a fat guy. Gear will need replacing or you'll need to get comfortable driving in a fully upright or fully reclined position.

If you had a Sportomatic you wouldn't have even noticed this problem.

Hey Andy, Frank B has it... It's not a sporto, so you must be a fat-bastard!

I've got so many seats here, I just don't know what to do...

Thanks to Jim and Frank for helpful suggestions, I guess I'll be removing them and pulling out the lube !

Cam I did follow up those repos and they were taken by the Vic Car King in Frankston. But he redeem himself with a set of Fuchs I was chasing... Cam, by the way, standard seats are the new black, aftermarket are so passé like Cibie's..

As for John Forcier's comments.... NO SOUP FOR YOU !
