    sun visor mirrors

    One of my 65 cars has sunvisors with mirrors both on driver and passenger side, the other 2 cars (one 911 and one 912) only on passenger side. Does anybody know whether the driver side mirror involves a retrofitted visor or was this an option at the time?

    Without looking in the parts book I don't know if that was an option. Could it be that someone for some reason put on a right hand drive passenger side visor?

    Sun visor, left (driver's side), with vanity mirror was a factory option - # 9171 & p/n 901.731.303.21. Available on '65 production and '66 MY cars. Without additional price on 911 (price DM 4.20 for 912s).

    Any idea of first use of the driver's side mirror? An interesting RHD 912 prototype with February 8, 1965 on the Kardex, has one only on the (RHD) driver's side implying that the left side one was not yet available.

    My 66 303986 has mirrors on both sides.
