    '68 mag case without date stamp?

    I came across a 1968 magnesium crankcase without a date stamp. It has a serial number, build number and type number but no date stamp - no circular marks nothing. It can't be replacement case because the casting number is .1R on both sides. Is this normal?

    Yes, normal. Mag cases rarely have date codes. Very early alu cases do not have them either. Do I have the numbers from this case?
