Yes we know. The point was that someone was marketing the car for sale using the photos that Dennis Collins provided and wanting at a minimum 1/3 of the price wired to "hold" the car. Hopefully anyone who sees the add will google the vin 9110310033 and realize it is a scam before they wire money.
The 32k price should have been the billboard that screamed SCAM.
Did you lose dough to this miscreant?
Negative... And I sure hope others don't either.
It was bought by one of our customers. Not a bad car , but we spent a week getting a lot of the usual mistakes corrected.

BaT Description:
This 1970 Porsche 911S Targa is said to have been delivered new to Bozzani Porsche in Monrovia, California, and later spent time in Texas, where it was acquired by the current owner in 2014. The car is finished in red over black leather upholstery and powered by a 2.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a removable black roof panel, 15″ Fuchs wheels, a stainless targa bar, yellow-tinted fog lights, and a Becker Europa AM/FM stereo. Work performed under current ownership is said to have involved refurbishing the interior, transaxle, and front brake calipers as well as replacing the front valance, rear bumper guards, heat exchangers, muffler, brake master cylinder, fuel pressure check valve, front sway bar bushings, and axles. This 911S Targa is offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Bahia Red and was reportedly repainted under previous ownership. Work performed under current ownership involved replacing the driver-side door to remedy noticeable defects in a previous repair as well as replacing the front bumper, rear bumper guards, and side mirror. Additional exterior details include a removable black roof panel, a stainless targa bar, yellow-tinted fog lights, and a single exhaust outlet.
Fuchs 15″ wheels with polished faces and black recesses are mounted with 195/65 Continental ContiProContact tires that were fitted in January. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and service performed under current ownership is said to have included overhauling the front calipers and replacing the brake master cylinder and front sway bar bushings.
The interior features front bucket seats and folding rear seats trimmed in black leather upholstery accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include a heater, vent windows, a Becker Europa AM/FM stereo, a locking glove compartment, and woven floor mats. Work performed under current ownership is said to have included refurbishing the rear parcel shelf as well as replacing the front seat cushions, dashboard, carpets, sun visors, rearview mirror, door pockets, shift knob, dashboard switches, and trunk carpet.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and an analog clock. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 76k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.2-liter flat-six features higher compression and larger valves when compared to the non “S” model, and the engine and mechanical fuel injection system are said to have been overhauled under previous ownership. Factory-rated output was 180 horsepower. The seller states that the fuel pressure check valve, oil pressure switch, oil sending unit, heat exchangers, and muffler were replaced under current ownership. Engine stamping *6300162* matches the number listed on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle. The second-gear synchronizer, main shaft bearing, and axles were reportedly replaced under current ownership. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists factory colors and options.
