    Colour of Engine Lid Letters

My 2.4 S ( 1972 MY ) will be finished its restoration shortly. The PORSCHE letters on the engine cover would have been anodised Black when new but after years of exposure to the elements most peoples are a silver/grey colour. My question is should I pint them Satin Black or a Bluey Silver and can anone suggest a paint code for the Bluey Silver ?

Leave them alone, they look great sort of gun metal grey. Otherwise reanodize

I love the weathered patina look but best to put on the original gunmetal black if you do not have the original.

My car will be looking new so I thought maybe the letters also need to look that way. Someone mentioned Wurth Satin Black, and ideas ?

The anodized emblems took over 40 years to get to that shade. You just can't replace that...

One option would be to sell them and use the money to purchase new ones. When I checked in April for my '73 they were still available, and the patina set will probably fetch at least the price of a new set. Plus this way somebody looking for a set with patina will be happy as well .
