What was the VIN of the first Hard Window Targa?

I've done several searches in an attempt to find the VIN of the first HWT, to no avail. (I've learned lots of other stuff, though.)

To the best of my ability to determine, the SWT/HWT transition took place in late '67, during the 1968 model year.

Has anyone performed this research, or could someone suggest the proper search terms (beyond the obvious ones)?

    Thank you so much.

Search for 11850130 or 11880065. These seem to be very early fixed window targas.

Search all of the forums. Use the search window in the upper right of the page and then press the magnifying glass icon.

I have Euro 911L SN 118 60 141 with a fixed rear window. It was completed on Dec. 28th, 1967.

i have located a 1968 911 HWT #11880080 with a build date of december 14, 1967. it is deteriorated, but the inner targa bar cover does not have the holes for the SWT tensioners. eric gratz had suggested that #0065 might have been the first HWT.

    does anyone have additional information?

I owned 11850343 which was a German delivered blut orange hard window S. I was told it was one of the very first and few '68 S hard windows...

Here are the November 1967 fixed window targas that have shown up on the web, confirmed through COA or suspected,

    11/28/67 11850132 - 911S ROW
    11/29/67 11880065 - 911 USA

and the ones from December 1967

    12/11/67 11850164 - 911S ROW
    12/12/67 11850151 - 911S ROW
    12/14/67 11880080 - 911 USA

the information from Eric Gratz and Kitson88 is really cool. Kitson88's indication that 1188060 was SWT, while 11880065 is HWT really creates a narrow gap between the two in terms of production.

I am reluctant to assume that Porsche simply change over production during this transition period, with 100% of the targas prior to 11/29/67 being SWT, and 100% of targas being HWT are 11/29.

does anyone have anything of value to offer on that question? (was there a 'mix' of SWT and HWT during that period?)

    OTHER INTERESTING ITEMS
it is also interesting that '0060' was produced on 11/10, while 0065 was produced on 11/29, which indicates that Porsche only manufactured 4 Targas between 11/10 and 11/29 (19 days). If this was a 'changeover' period (from SWT to HWT), it could reasonably require a couple of weeks to effect the changeover on the production line.

i also note that '0065' was built on 11/29 and '0080' was built on 12/14 (15 days separation). this would indicate that Porsche built 15 targas in those 15 days (most of them HWT, i assume).

also, it is my information that the december, 1967, changeover to HWT did not necessarily mean the end of SWTs. i have been told that SWTs continued to appear, by special order. does anyone information on that?

i really love the exchange of information in this community of enthusiasts. thank you, all.
