    64-65 Oil Tank

    1964-1965 Rare early oil tank with indentation on leading edge. -SOLD
    Oil tank was chemically stripped and has zero rust but holes are evident and will need repair.

    HI can you tell me where the difference in this and later tanks is? Also at what date did this change - and how did it differ? Interested for my 66 cat

    The earlier tanks have that curved portion where the tank faces the rear tire. The later tanks have a straight angled edge. The mounting studs are also unique to the early tanks....and the filter console mount is reverse (upside down) from the later tanks. Otherwise, the later tanks work fine...but they just aren't correct. I don't know what the cut off date was for the early tanks though.
