Momo Gianpiero Moretti Horn button info

    Hi Guys,

i recently picked up a 'red helmet horn button'. I have seen several helmet buttons but since i had no clue who the driver was, linked to this horn button, i did a quick google search. My search didn't yield much, in fact i found only one helpful link to an ebay ad from a year ago. Apparently, this horn button reflects one of the very last gentleman racers, Gianpiero Moretti himself! And it is said to be very, very rare. Since i have started looking at old momo steering wheels a few months ago, i was quite thrilled with this found.

Reason for posting this: since the info i found is rather scarse, i would appreciate any additional info one has to offer! Maybe some of the early momo guys have something to say about this button? Thanks in advance!

I've seen several of these helmet buttons, but the Moretti is new to me. Here's a few more (including a Clay Regazzoni as well). If there's others, feel free to share them here:

Sir Stewart's button on his wheel. AFAIK all of the signature wheels has driver specific horn buttons. Was there a Gianpiero Moretti wheel ?

Not that i know of but than again, i didn't know of a Mr. Moretti horn button either.
I have two of the Stewart buttons as well but that's all i have for now. I think these buttons are cool gadgets and i'm hoping to get one of each in the end.

    Where are these early momo-philes?

Not much information available on early MOMO steering wheels and even less on the buttons. There is a MOMO wheel with Moretti's sig on it... has a wood rim.

Thanks for the input Mark! I was hoping to find out some more on this particular button but i guess that might not be the case. Think it's a good find anyway and very happy with it!

P.S.: if anyone has any of these helmet buttons, feel free to send me a pm. (i have the Jackie Stewart and the Moretti now, but i'm still looking for the others.)
