    Rear bumper guard beading

Getting ready to install a new pair of bumper guards on my '70T. The bumper guard beading comes in a cut to length strip. Not certain how much of the bumper guard gets the beading. This photo below (although not a perfect angle) of a '70S with 700 miles on it, shows the beading only runs along the inboard edge of the bumper guard. Does it extend across the top of the bumper guard as well? Also the profile of the beading has a wide side and a narrow side. Does the narrow side go outside with the wide side positioned inside the bumper guard?

    Thanks.
