    a) they are different from anything I've ever seen
    b) the housing has a dual filament orange bulb
    c) I want to change out to lenses with silver frames

Any ideas what I have on the car now? Thanks.

If your car was originally delivered in Italy then then are correct. Early 72 had them still with silver frame, later on the were as pictured. So could all be original to your car.
Dual filament orange bulb is not correct.

    Kind regards,

Not an Italian delivery car, so definitely not correct/original. They definitely show their age with some cracking around the screw holes, etc. Has anyone stripped the paint off the frame and repainted in silver? I suppose if I do change to non-Italian frames, I'll need to change bulbs as well.

The rears need to be changed too if I want to go with silver frames. They look to be the normal euro lenses.

    indicator housing

If you have a ROW or Italian housing (this one is slightly different) then you should have a dual filament bulb, just not orange. US version (without divider and extra parking light) has a single filament bulb. If you take out the housing and remove the off white wire feedthrough cap you see what I mean.
You can remove the black paint but it will be very hard to find paint spray as shiny as the factory silver.
