WTB: trombone plus hoses for '73

    Hi,
I am looking for the trombone oil cooler and the two hoses that attach it to the hard lines, just like in the picture, which is of a '73. Let me know what you have, thanks!

    Hi Robert,

Alan at Canford Classics sells the trombone oil cooler and I think even Porsche does sell them now. Maybe Marek has them as well and for the hoses I am not sure if Porsche still have them. Finding NOS or used originals is more difficult.

    Best regards,

    Cees

I bought the Porsche one, too. It doesn't fit! It's too tall!

The one in the first picture is a one year only style withe vertical connections, all the later trombones have pipe connections that are aimed towards the rear of the car, that is probably the style you got from Porsche. I think Canford replicates the one year only 73 style.

    Ed -

The style I got from Porsche is not the one where the connections are aimed back towards the rear. It was the "correct" one. I have Porsche PAL, and the P/N matched the parts book, and the P/N on the bag matched as well. Porsche obviously subbed the work out to someone, like they always have, but now, Quality Control is obviously AWOL. Porsche: "Did we give you a drawing to make the par to?" Sub: "Yeah". Porsche: "Show me your First Article Inspection, please". Sub: "My what? No, no, it's just like you want, trust me!" Porsche: "OK then, ship me 400."

My local 911 shop here bought one of the "new" mirrors from Porsche for a '73. The glass fell out the first time the door was slammed.

To Porsche: Wake the F*** up, you have no quality control! What you have for QC is worthless!

The Canford one, by the way, looks like it actually is an exact replica. Nice part: 400 British Pounds plus shipping

    Terry - I have PM'd, thanks!
