    It has always amazed me that there seems to be no regulation of where spectators can watch from on European rallies.

    Just asking for trouble watching on the outside of a corner like that…...

    Yes it was, IMHO Italian rallies have this lax safety about them until the shit hits the fan.

    Same thoughts here Cam. Here in the US (for the past 20 years anyway), we have well-defined spectator areas with marshalls, banner tape, etc. and usually located on slow, 90-degree corners. When I'm spectating, I always find the largest tree in the vicinity and generally stand behind it.
