He doesn't disclose the VIN so we can harp on him about not really being a MY 1965

For the record, not much info - no engine/trans description:

    Trans: ?
Color: Light Ivory 6404 (original color) "presently finished in Green"

    Sellers Description:
A sound and solid genuine example of the Iconic 1965 SWB 911 fortunately only wider arches and a ducktail spoiler have been added more importantly this car still possesses all it's original 1965 features and structures hence it will make for a reasonably economic restoration. It still possesses its Green Gauge Dial instruments , African Mahogany wood dash, non adjustable front strut towers, original front slam panel and wing mounted washer bottle. A complete car that will make a perfect road going car or historic race car, we have the original Porsche Certificate of Authenticity which also confirms this to be a Californian US supplied example hence it has not suffered from the usual dreaded rust worm, its original paint code & finish was Light Ivory 6404 . We will be happy to discuss a sale or all restoration options with you.

I guess the builder never planned on ever changing torsion bars again.

The website ad is contradictory as it lists the original color at the top as 6604 and further down as 6404. Judging by the kneepads, I would agree with the 6604. Great looking car, best wishes for the seller.

Well it does have a 64XX paint code, so likely a true 65 MY car.

    ---------------------
OK, so there's a typo in post #3. The actual paint code is 6604, thus I retract my comment about MY. It's a '66.

Due to a lack of information, looks like we are playing another game of charades. This knee pads scream 302100 or later, but not much later judging by the front hood slam panel. 65 build date, 66 model year. Hopefully the vin will one day be revealed. On a side note, Is this really what happens when you don't have plans for Friday Night?
