    H1 Lenses

    lens.jpg

I've accumulated an inventory of H1 lenses with correct "Bosch" lettering (raised letters inside the glass) and have a bit of an excess which I'm offering as follows:

    Lenses + Installation
Send me your H1's and I will install the lenses and ship them back to you. The per headlamp cost is $100 for the lens plus shipping, installation is free.

    Lenses Only
Cost is $100 each, shipping is free to CONUS.

The turnaround on installation should be 2-3 weeks. I'm just finishing a large batch of H1 restorations and things should move quickly after that. Supplies are limited.

    Thanks,
    John

Very interested.... but with a question. I have a '73 911 that has previously installed H1s. However one lense has external raised letters, the other has a smooth external surface with letters on the inside of the lense. I was once told by a friend to not be so detailed oriented and that... "symmetry is a fetish". Nonetheless I am bothered by the inconsistency and would like both sides to be the same. Question.... which type (external vs internal letters) is considered more rare or desirable, if either? I have seen some ads for lenses which seem to highlight the fact their that lenses have raised letters, as if such are more desirable. I would be interested in purchasing or trading (if appropriate) for whichever lense type is more desirable. Thanks in advance for any guidance here. Ted
