    GT3 - All Variants

Thought we might as well start our own thread for all GT3 cars, and RS's of course, starting with the Euro Mark 1's in 99 through the current 991 versions and beyond. Let's see how this goes....

We can keep posting to the other thread (you kow who you are ), but to be polite, I thought this might work too. Roll call:

1-996 MKII 05 Seal Grey on black with RS nose and Lt Wt clutch/flywheel and Techquipment SS bolt in Roll Bar

    Thumbs up

Drove this '04 for about an hour last Nov. and it was amazing in so many ways.....

The power under your foot, how easily if shifted, and how impressive the brakes were.... all of this I got a hold of pretty well...

However what I was not ready or prepared for was how bloody fast the steering was.......

I took me almost my whole drive to get the feel.... between the steering and the front end bite, I found myself always turning in too soon......

Then, when I finally got the steering input to power balance, I wanted to make my own damn U-Tube rally video....

    ............ IT WAS SIMPLY ADDICTIVE.........

    Chris,
    Yes, it's awesome
I've owned 11 Porsche's over the past 34 years, from '72S to this, and it's def the best
Had an 07 GT3 before this, the shorter gearing (R&P) makes a big difference as does the downforce (MUCH more stable at speed)

Have a '15 991 GT3 due 12/26, cant wait to compare the two

Chuuuuck! Glad you chimed in bud. Different animal for sure, but Oh so addicting. You are spot on with the steering. It's tough to get a handle on steering input. I've been in mine now for a week and it still suprizes me.
