    Randy Lanier Out of Prison

Interesting read for those who were following sportscar racing in the 80's.

An interesting read indeed. That man was knee deep. Wonder why he got out?...

    Awesome.

A repentant man is rare these days.

He freely admits that he threw his "last" life away but can't wait to see what his new life will look like. I would love to hang with this guy; it would be like opening a sealed vault and discovering what makes a natural, world class, old school driver.
Better than that, what it means to be a world class human being who looks ahead and not behind him.

    Wait...

maybe it is the same attribute that makes a man great at both?

Randy was a "free spirit" kinda guy, back in the day..... having worked for the Whittington's I know what i'm talking about!!

I actually named Randy's team "Blue Thunder racing"! The name came from our rig that was named the same! We took Randy with his first March Chevy team to Daytona...the name stuck!

Randy got a bad deal but might have gotten off a little cheaper had he not tried to RUN...and then got caught...Randy's big bad!

Preston Henn (another boss of mine) is hiring Randy for his first job while out...part of his Probation deal! Preston also Hired JLP when he got out. If you remember, JLP is still on the loose!

Randy will do fine. I will see him soon enough and can hardly wait!

    Cheer's Randy,

    KJ

And in November, FL will vote for legalization. Maybe he was just ahead of his time.

    I'm very glad of that.

Randy did wrong, no doubt about it, but these days people do less time for murder. I don't think that "making an example" of him made a s**t-bit of difference to anybody wanting to make a quick buck in the drug trade. Moving dope was easy then and it's still easy. The "trade" is more robust today than it ever has been; just different players -- and they're a much nastier bunch than ever showed up to race in IMSA.
