These lights were a rare option for 914s. on a 914 the fog lights sit into the bumper where you will never see the back, so no need to make them chrome. GLWS

Why are 914 parts (they were never meant to be installed on a 911 by Porsche) advertised in the "For Sale: 911 parts" section? I don't think this is any different than advertising a 914 steering wheel as a Carrera RS wheel. Yes, one could go through the trouble of taking them completely apart and rechroming the housings and trying to find the mounts for lights (those are the same for 914s as 911s). It would be a shame to modify such a wonderful 914 part, though.

914 lights are black so the disappear into the background of the bumper, chrome is on the outside cover that goes on the bumper. These are fog lights and NOT driving lights. Chrome 5 rivet driving lights are the most desirable. These are the Euro 118 size, US was 115 and slightly different.

They look repainted to me. I've owned numerous pairs of these, all NOS and they were all satin black. I've had them in Audi, VW and Porsche boxes. Those look too glossy.
