    Cheap bearing VS Expensive bearing

    Hi
I`m looking to buy front bearing to my swb 1967 hubs. I have seen prices pr. side for the 2 bearings and seal as low as 30 dollars up to 75-80 dollars.

Is there any difference in quality? stoddard, sierramadre, do not list the brand of the bearing, i`m thinking as per the big difference in price, some must be made in China, some in USA- Europa?

so is the chepest bearing ok to use?

I wouldn't cheap out unless you can confirm they are the same brand, just differing prices. Poor metallurgy, poor precision fitment etc can ruin your hubs. Is saving 20.00 really worth potentially ruining your hubs and spindles ??

It has been interesting to see many of the Blue Chip German parts companies (FAG, Elring, Mahle, etc.) move manufacturing overseas.

One must be very careful these days to make sure they're getting the quality they expect. I believe these particular bearings are still available in German. Just ask the vendor.
