Hard brake line for Brembo 3"

    Hi

I need some advise for the brembo upgrade on the swb 1967, as the hard brake line from the old stock M-caliper do not fit, is it possible to use flexible brake line for this short length? is only about 10-12 cm 5"

or can anybody sell me some new hard lines that fit? or perhaps a drawing from others that have made the conversation.

All you need to do is buy the 'bubble' flare tool and a tubing bender and you can then make your own. That is how we deal with those situations.

I did what Ed said. I'll try to remember to shoot a picture of the other side Friday or Saturday.

Thanks, I will find the tools to make it. The end that goes into the caliper has bouble flare ( konveks) and the other end to the soft brake hose has double flare ( Conkerv) is that correct?

Both ends are the same 'bubble' (or DIN flare) flare.

Thanks, I`m afraid that the former owner of the have used " what he had" for the brake lines , as I have found both bubble flare , and double flare on the car.
Is it safe to run with this setup?

btw. what have you guys done with the backing plate/dust shield for the vented swb disk upgrade? , have you drilled holes for air in the stock dust shield, as i find the 67 swb vented disk, dust shield hard to find?

My answer would be NO you need to run the correct flare for the lines. What do the makers of the conversion recommend? If you feel inclined to drill holes why not just leave it off??

I can not get the car mot/approved every 2 year. without the dust shield, In Denmark all car must have dust shield , also the vintage cars.

Well again I ask what the folks who sell the kit recommend, but since you say you can't find SWB back plates then get LWB back plates and modify them to bolt onto your SWB struts. It just says you must run back plates,,,,doesn't say they have to be a perfect fit ! It doesn't seem you have too many choices! When you start modifying cars you need to learn to be creative.

I have SC rotors and the dust shield is too small. As ED said try a later dust shield or have some made. Here are my hard lines. Not much to it. My struts need a repaint. You can see a thin washer used on both bolts to center everything up. I had repro dog bones made for the rear as spacers were added to the rear calipers. 944 rotors were cut 2 mm if I remember correctly.
