    FS: Deluxe Dealer Brochure '72-'73

My '72 -'73 Brochure is now sold! Here is a hard to find dealer brochure for '72 and '73 models. Very nice condition for its age, some slight yellowing on the edge of the pages. This is a 28 page full color brochure with separate technical data insert. Asking $195 shipped in the USA.

FYI , this is the 1973 edition.

The 1972 edition has slightly different content and a few other photos, but both cover are 100% similar.
BTW, the 1972 edition is much harder to get than the 1973 version.

I disagree with you this brochure covers the 2.4 911 model for '72 & '73, there may be an earlier version that was slightly different but I believe both versions do not have a date of print on them. Tell us all what different information is on the version you say is for '72 and if there is a date of print anywhere on it. Again I believe this brochure is for '72 - '73 2.4 model 911 and yes there might be 2 versions of it.

Mike, you choose the wrong person to argue about brochures, I simply have them all: several hundred items from 1963-73.

I agree no printing date but content check as well as other reference literature will confirm my infos.
Here below are both the 1972 and 1973 version.
    -
You will see you are currently selling a 1973 version.
The 1972 version was different and showed 2.4l models w oil flap, were the 1973 version did not.
In fact, the 72 version shows early 1972 production models, likewise the 1973 version shows the defunct 2.7S model.
Cover was in both version 100% similar, which makes it difficult to know which is which.
They came in several different language versions.

Good luck for your sale. My info was just for help and future reference.

I am not arguing that there are not 2 versions of this brochure. My point is that both versions were available in the Porsche dealers in 1972 & 1973 and covered the 2.4 model, are you saying the later version does not cover the '72 model (forget the oil flap). I believe sometime in 1972 the later version was available in the showrooms to cover later '72's and '73's, do you think if someone was deciding between a '72 and '73 model and the salesman handed him the later version brochure he pointed out the cars didn't have an oil flap, c'mon!!

Oh, by the way the brochure is sold!!

Since the black 1973 bumper were US DOT mandatory after January 1973, one was available and printed only for/after January 1973 ie "1973 version". The other one ie "1972 version" was used in late 1971 and all through 1972.

For technical reasons, both were not available in 1972 and 1973...only one, the 1972 version.
Then that item was probably defunct/thrown away after the new January 1973 USA version arrived.

The salesman could have done a lot of things with the leftover '72 brochures as the changes between '72 and '73 were minimal. That doesn't change the fact that there are indeed two different brochures: A brochure for the '72 MY and one for the '73 MY. I know I definitely wouldn't want the one with the air brushed oil flap sitting in my '72, a car built in June of '72.
