    Proper 011 jack

I own a pristine restored 68 911T coupe My jack us missing or stolen somehow and I need to replace it,. It was the friction type which will slide up and down the tube of the jack by using the separate jack handle. However, an "expert" tells me that the proper type for my car is the "screw type" which has a handle which you turn to raise and lower the car.

    Which is the proper one?
